I just celebrated my 27th birthday and I had a blast! I decided to check out some good 'ol Splatter Cinema at the Plaza Theater!! It was pretty hilarious and I'm looking forward to catching the Zombie flick next month. My parents came up over the weekend and treated me with some BBQ :) and bead shopping!! I loaded up on some materials that I'd mentioned in a previous post, hopefully I'll be able to start a new line with more silver and now thinking a "space and dreamy" theme...
I also checked out the Kudzu Antique Mart in Decatur and the monthly Scott's Antique Market- I was blown away! How did I not know about these!!?? I might have to camp out or get a hotel room next month!! I scored a great deal on some maracasite rings!! I've always wanted some, very Art Deco feel with onyx...so lovely! I got three- ;) They look similar to these...
As for resolutions-I decided for 2009 and being 27, I'd like to adopt my friend, Kristen's 2009 motto! "I do what I want"- haha
And if doing what I want entails running through the desert, wearing a furry pink costume...Well dang it, "I do what I want!" and don't give me no beef!

I think that's an awesome resolution! My mom's coming up this weekend and she loves beading. What are the hot bead stores I should take her to? All I have lined up so far is Atlanta Beads on N Highland.
The one we went to was the "Bead Gallery" in Alpharetta. It's a little shop that just opened with lots of gemstone strands, pearls, glass beads, coral... you can get strands for just $2.00- $3.00, strands of pearls for around $4.00 and up...I can give you the address, just let me know if you are interested.
